Videoconferencing Prices & Procedures


Prices

1 US Dollar=5.75 Egyptian Pounds - 1 Egyptian Pound=0.16 US Dollar (Source: Al Ahram Newspaper Monday, November 21, 2005)

1. Usage of videoconferencing equipment:

     

    AmCham members

    $150/hour


    AmCham non-members

    $200/hour


  • 10% discount for reputable VC studios.
  • 10 % discount for Embassies and Non-profit organizations.
  • Special prices for Educational institutions, Travel Agencies, USAID projects and regular users (company conducted more than 10h).
  • Payment will be accepted in either U.S. dollars ($) or Egyptian pounds (LE), in accordance with current exchange rates.
  • For a videoconferencing session on a weekend or after 7:00 pm, an extra charge of $50.00/hour will be applied.
  • For a videoconferencing session (more than 5 hours), please contact the Business Information Center.

2. Telephone charges:

  • Dialing-in (other party initiates the call) incurs NO charges.

  • Dialing-out (AmCham initiates the call) incurs additional cost based on the connection destination and speed, the following are our competitive prices for international dial-out:

Procedures

  • Reservations should be made 10 days prior to the session date
  • Click here for reservation form
  • A down payment for one hour's charge has to be paid upon reservation
  • A FREE quality assurance test session is conducted with the other party at least two days prior to conference session
  • A list with all the names of the attendees should be sent to AmCham 48 hours prior to the session so as to facilitate security procedures
  • Minimum duration for a videoconferencing session is one hour
  • The pre-determined duration of the session, mentioned upon reservation, has to be precisely followed
  • Any extensions for conference sessions are to be notified 20 minutes before the pre-determined end time. This also depends upon the schedule flexibility
  • All videoconference sessions are billed in 15-minute increments
  • Cancellations received within 24 – 72 hours prior to the session time will be billed at half-price of the session.
  • Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to the session time will be billed full amount of the session.
