IPR status in Egypt - January 2000

The committee held meetings on December 12 and 19 – both focusing on the issues of IPR status in Egypt, an analysis of the draft patent law, social commitments and the image of the industry. The December 19 meeting featured presentations by Dr. Samir Khalil, regional director for policy & external affairs for Merck USA, and Dr. Adel Mahmoud, president of the vaccine division of Merck USA.
