Trade & Commerce Committee

Committee Objectives

The key objective is to help members resolve trade and export obstacles with governmental authorities to increase sales

Establish a direct constructive channel with the Industry and Customs & Taxation Committees to consolidate efforts on related issues and avoid redundancy with governmental authorities.

Committee Work Plan

  • Identify to members opportunities and obstacles of the different free trade agreements
  • Present banking facilities and services offered by banks to encourage trade and export
  • Address the different requirements of the Certificate of Origin for different products that is hindering exports
  • Jointly with Customs & Taxation Committee, address the problems facing exports
  • Jointly with Industry Committee, address the fraud law with representatives of the Ministry of Supply to clarify the problems
  • Arrange a meeting with the Minsiter of Foreign Trade to discuss direct issues hindering members in exports and the possibility of raising alternative solutions to these issues. The possibility of encouraging members join the Minister on his trips to promote exports will be raised.
  • Address other topics that members would identify
    Position papers

    - Developing and modernizing the transport sector to serve as an engine of growth for the Egyptian economy.
